As we shared on Monday, a devastating tornado touched down in Clayton, Missouri last Friday afternoon. As the storm headed northeast, it continued to pick up in intensity, causing a path of destruction, particularly in parts of the City of St. Louis. Unfortunately, the tornado caused significant damage to WashU Hillel’s roof and backyard, requiring substantial repairs. To fix our roof and ensure our home is ready to host our Jewish students and programs in the fall, we’re launching an urgent emergency fundraising campaign.

Every gift will make a significant impact in helping us restore our home for Jewish life on campus. And thanks to the generosity of Lauren & Ezra Kest (Parents ’25), gifts toward this emergency campaign will be matched, dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000— for which we are very grateful.
