Shabbat Hosting Lab – Taught by Hannah and Mollie
Shabbat Hosting Lab (SHL) invites students to develop confidence and knowledge surrounding Shabbat rituals, to design and execute a Shabbat experience for their peers, and to be an empowered host.
SHL Fellows will participate in 5 weeks of learning (dinner included!), one Shabbat dinner hosted by the SHL educator and host two Shabbat gatherings for their peers.
The dates for WashU Hillel's Shabbat Hosting Lab are on Wednesdays at Hillel from 6-7:30pm: October 22, 29; November 5, 12, 19 and a Shabbat gathering on either Friday, October 24 OR Friday, November 14. Other hosted at-home experiences: TBD by you!
Upon completion of the SHL courses and the end of session survey, you will receive a $300 stipend.
If you have questions, please reach out to Mollie or Hannah.
JLF Life’s Big Questions 1.0 – Taught by Hannah
The Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) is a 10-week experiential, conversational cohort for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. We’re interested in building friendships, creating community, and asking big questions. You know, the big stuff —like Who am I? What communities am I a part of? What is worth committing myself to, and why?
We make no claims about the “right” way to practice or not to practice Judaism. Our job is to help you explore the tradition in a safe space and find your own place, on your terms, in Judaism’s Great Conversation.
Upon completion of the JLF courses and the end of session survey, you will receive a $300 stipend.
Dates for Fall 2025 JLF Sessions: Time 6-7:30pm (dinner included!)
September 18, 25; October 9, 16, 23, 30; November 6, 13, 20; Dec 4
