We want to be among the first to welcome you and your student to Washington University in St. Louis! We’re fortunate to have one of the most vibrant campus Jewish communities in the country, and we’re eager to share all we have to offer with the Class of 2024!
COVID-19 has changed the world around us and we know you likely have many questions about what life will be like on campus. We don’t have all the answers, but what we can share is our continued commitment to helping students find social connections, community, and memorable Jewish experiences during their time at WashU.
Similar to the virtual Hillel Hangouts we’re hosting for incoming first-years, we hope you’ll join us for one of two upcoming parent sessions:
The Hillel Impact: Making Connections & Creating Community During COVID-19
A Parent Zoom Gathering
Thursday, August 20 – OR – Wednesday, August 26
7:00 pm (central time)
Register by clicking on the days above.
We’ll share info about Hillel and how we’re navigating COVID-19 to continue connecting students with one another and with Jewish life on campus.
To receive more information, including an invitation to an upcoming Hillel conversation with Karen Levin Coburn, one of the country’s leading experts on the college experience, and co-author of multiple books, including Letting Go: A Parents’ Guide to Understanding the College Years, sign up for our email list at washuhillel.org/parents.
We’ll also be staffing a Hillel welcome tent at our building (6300 Forsyth Blvd.) during Move-In on September 4-6 from 2:30-4:30 pm daily, and hope you’ll come by to meet our staff and grab a snack and mask (social distancing and other precautions will be in place).
We look forward to meeting you soon!
