Lest We Forget:  A Conversation with Luigi Toscano & Dee Dee Simon | 8:30pm
Renown photographer and filmmaker Luigi Toscano’s Lest We Forget exhibit will be installed at WashU’s Tisch Park from October 20-November 6, 2022. Lest We Forget features Toscano’s larger-than-life photographs of Holocaust survivors from around the world. Previously presented in seventeen cities—among them Berlin, Brussels, Geneva, Kyiv, New York, Vienna, and Washington, DC, the exhibit offers our community an opportunity to commemorate survivors at a moment when accurate collective knowledge about the Holocaust is at a historic low. The placards that accompany the photos tell stories of suffering and loss, resilience, and humanity, providing a window into the experience of the last living survivors.

Following dinner, join us for an intimate conversation with artist Luigi Toscano and Dee Dee Simon, Chair of the Missouri Holocaust Education and Awareness Commission, who is underwriting the exhibit at Washington University, along with her husband Eliot Simon, and their organization, Conversation Builds Character.
